René Scheibenbauer Portrait by Lars Bronseth

Creating space for Emotional Studies, Dynamic Performance and Practicality combined with Tailored Elegance

René Scheibenbauer launched his eponymous label in London in 2019, redefining contemporary tailoring with a focus on functionality and movement, designed to create space for modern city living. With each collection, Scheibenbauer explores the wearer’s experience: how they feel, how they move, and how they feel when they move through the world in his clothes.

The brand creates a contemporary wardrobe with designs characterised by complex, sensual pattern cutting and sleek functionality, creating dynamic opportunities for everyday movement and urban lifestyles. Key design elements include four-way stretch fabrics, sculpturally draped that allow movement and functional details like hidden compartments and adjustable, interactive details.

René Scheibenbauer graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2018 where his collection 'Empathy, Connection, Play' was awarded runner-up of the ‘L’Oréal Professionel Young Talent Award’. René formed a community group of collaborators and hosted workshops to exploring together the holistic connection between emotion, identity and personal style, examining how different clothing makes us feel.
